About this sales process flowchart

A sales process flowchart turns the pipeline stages in your CRM into a sequence with exit rules. It shows what has to be true before a deal moves forward and where it should be closed out instead of lingering.

This example is a typical B2B motion with a demo and an optional legal or security review. Rename stages to match your CRM.

Step by step

  1. Discover. Learn the problem, the team and how they decide.
  2. Demo. Show the product against their use case, not a generic tour.
  3. Qualify. Deals without a clear use case and buyer are closed lost with a reason.
  4. Propose and negotiate. Send pricing and terms; deals where terms can't be agreed are closed lost.
  5. Review and sign. Legal or security review runs when needed; a failed review closes the deal lost, otherwise it is signed and handed to onboarding.

How to make it in flow-chart.io

  1. Start from the example. Edit the text in the generator box above so it names your own pipeline stages and exit criteria, then press Generate. The free preview needs no sign-up.
  2. Add the branches. Add the decision points that matter for you, for example procurement involved? or discount approval needed?. Each decision becomes a diamond with labeled outcomes.
  3. Assign owners. Save the diagram to the editor (free account) and rename steps to show who does what: SDR, account executive, sales engineer and legal.
  4. Share or export. Share a read-only view link: people with the link can view the diagram but not edit it. Downloads as PNG, SVG or PDF are part of Flow Pro (see pricing).

Tips

Frequently asked questions

What are the stages of a sales process?
Common stages are prospecting, qualification, discovery, demo, proposal, negotiation and close. Many teams add onboarding as the handoff.
How is this different from a lead qualification flow?
Lead qualification decides whether a lead goes to sales. The sales process starts after that and ends at a signed deal.
Can I generate my own sales process diagram?
Yes. Edit the steps in the generator box and press Generate.
